It’s thirsty Thursday and we are relaxing this evening with a pour of Pinhook Bohemian High Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Not only is this is our first bottle of Pinhook, but this particular release just so happens to be first bourbon in half a century to be distilled, aged and bottled at the legendary Old Taylor Distillery (now Castle & Key) and Pinhook’s inaugural bourbon.
Crafted from 75% corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley, this limited edition of 100 barrels, was aged more than 34 months, and then blended and proofed by Sean Josephs, Pinhook’s Co-Founder and Master Taster.
Proofed at 114.5, this High Proof Bourbon has an amazing nose full of citrus with notes of luxurious toffee and caramel on the palette. Full proof and definitely full of flavor!
We loved this one so much we quickly went and procured a second—backup bottle. Next time you see this one the shelf be sure to pick one up as well! You won’t be disappointed. Cheers!
