Up until two weeks ago I was not familiar with Sam Houston Bourbon. However, ol’ Sam and I became fast friends @newberry_prohibition the biggest little bourbon bar in Newport, Kentucky.
This is one of those pours that absolutely blows you away. Aged a minimum of 12 years, this bourbon offers bold and complex flavors, including an unexpected cherry finish.
Sadly production was extremely limited; this bottle is #382 of only 584 bottles ever produced. We have our fingers crossed that one day we will be lucky enough to stumble across our old friend once again. Until next time, Cheers! ?
